Say Yes to the Bypass

No Bypass? No Investment In Jobs, Skills & Futures

Our Board has one voice. We believe in the bypass. For the businesses already in our county and those we need to attract. We’ve built the houses. We’ve got great people. But to attract the businesses to create the skilled jobs they deserve we need to address the city’s congestion.

With government funding and plans in place it’s ready to happen – but our new Council have pressed pause. This is a once in a generation opportunity.

Join us and let the Council know you share our commitment to the future of our county. Say Yes To The Bypass.

Have Your Say

The Council are reviewing the case for the bypass. Make your voice heard.

Please send your letter electronically, including your address, to both your local councillor and the Leader of the Herefordshire Council, David Hitchiner (david.hitchiner@herefordshire.gov.uk). If you would like to send us a copy please also address it to info@herefordshirebusinessboard.co.uk

After sending your letter you may also wish to add your voice to the change.org petition and share your thoughts with others on your local networks and on social media.

If you would to give us any of your own comments or sign up for further updates please fill in the form below.

OUR TOP 5 REASONS TO SAY ‘YES’

(of course there are many more!)

1. Congestion

It’s terrible now. It’s going to get worse. Businesses looking to invest will go elsewhere

2. Jobs

It’s not rocket science but the skilled jobs we need will head elsewhere

3. Pay

We’re already under paid in the county. We’ll be saying goodbye to higher paid jobs

4. Ageing Population

New investment will help bring in the younger people our county needs

5. Wellbeing

The county needs funds to support us all in our later years. Essential revenue new investment will bring will be lost.
